Honest Scrap

.

"1. When accepting this auspicious award, you must write a post bragging about it, including the name of the misguided soul who thinks you deserve such acclaim, and link back to the said person so everyone knows she/he is real.
2. Choose a minimum of seven (7) blogs that you find brilliant in content or design. Or improvise by including bloggers who have no idea who you are because you don’t have seven friends. Show the seven random victims’ names and links and leave a harassing comment informing them that they were prized with Honest Weblog. Well, there’s no prize, but they can keep the nifty icon.
3. List at least ten (10) honest things about yourself. Then pass it on!"

So, it's omg-rampant-meme time again in the blogging community. Which I totally love. This time we're passing around the Honest Scrap award. I feel so honored!!! This award is the most prestigious award anyone can ever receive, ever. The Oscars pale in comparison to this. Noble Peace Prize? Pfft, whatever. Small potatoes. Seriously.

I was tagged by Llanion at Mooonfire!, and also by A Touch of Arcane, both of which are awesome blogs. Go check them out. No. Really. Go.

So, seven blogs!

1. Miss Elf. This one I just recently discovered. It's snarky and awesome. She's got some really great posts that are fun to read.

2. The Unconventional Priest. This blog is written by Fuyuko, one of my favorite guildmates. Her blog is fairly new, so you won't be seeing pages upon pages of posts, but she's got some good stuff - most recently, a guide on how to get the upcoming "Insane" achievement. She's also got a penchant for pandas. Rawr!

3. Rolling Hots. A new-ish resto druid blog, and some great writing to boot. I like this blog's style already. Besides, it's got a Jack Handy quote about trees on the front page. Awesome? Yes.

4. Out of Mana. I'm assuming Braids has already been tagged, but I love this blog, so I'm throwing her another. She's got a picture of her drinking Hennessy on the front page, and she re-wrote the lyrics to '99 Problems' for WoW. Hilarity ensued. This chick is seriously badass.

5. Steady Shot. An interesting combination of Hunter and Druid, with a little DK thrown in. Written by a wife/husband team, they've got a fun A-Z WoW post up. Check it out =)

6. Working as Intended. Written by Vortexx (another guildie!), this blog has some great information about the hunter class. Plus, now that BRK is gone, it might just help fill the void.

7. Tree of Life. Another great resto druid blog. Keredria is one of the reasons I started blogging. Her blog inspired me =D (Thanks Ker!)

And now... ten honest things about myself.

But...it's April Fool's Day. I could *seriously* mess with you guys. Mwuahahah!

But I won't. *ahem*

1. I just finished playing The Path, and now I'm playing it through again. It's very intriguing and only slightly creepy. It's 10 dollars. If you have 10 dollars to spare and want to spend a few hours being confused, startled, and determinedly curious, check it out.

2. I've played the cello for 14 years. I used to be pretty good, but I never could get thumb position down perfectly. My ring finger locks up for whatever reason and I have a lot of trouble playing high up on the finger board. Also, I hate Bach. Those cello suites are really annoying to play because they have a TON of string crossings. It's just no fun. For me, anyway. Maybe some cello players like it. *cough*masochists*cough*

3. When I was growing up, I had a black cat named Kitty. Throughout his life, he was also called Ratcha, Wally, Wallingford, and Mancala Breath. Seriously, I have no idea either. I was like, 11. He used to sleep in the crook of my legs at night, and then stretch out and take up the whole bed. He's dead now, but he was a good cat.

4. One of my very favorite things in WoW is when you kill a crocolisk and it flips over onto its back. I laugh every time. Also, why 6 legs?

5. I think Felicia Day is seriously hot.

6. Cheese and crackers is pretty much my favorite thing, ever.

7. I'm a complete night owl. I will be exhausted and I'll just put off getting into bed. For no reason. I'm trying to get better about it, simply because I have to - I wake up at 6:30am for work and I *hate* being tired at work. It's a conundrum.

8. Speaking of work, I have a funny work schedule. I work Saturday - Wednesday. So my weekend falls on Thursday and Friday, and my "monday" is Saturday. There are pros and cons - it's nice to have a day off when businesses are open, so I can have a doctor's appointment or go to the post office or whatever during the day. It's also nice to already be halfway through my work week while other people are complaining about how it's Monday. But it's annoying not having weekends match up with other people. When people are going out on Friday or Saturday, I'm in bed trying to get some sleep. Booo.

9. I'm a huge latin nerd. I love Roman mythology. The Aeneid is one of my favorite books.

10. I have a deck of Tarot cards and I have no idea how to use them.

There you have it! Blogs I tagged: it's your turn, go!

O.O
That's my deer in the headlight face. I've now been tagged twice. Guess I'll have to get posting tomorrow on this. I'd do it today, but I'm too in love with my April Fool's post being on the top of the page for today. lol! About your post
1) cats sleeping in the crook of my legs are a life long, sleep depriving, wonderfully cuddly occurence for me.
2) Jack Handey + trees = unpassupable. yea. I made a word there.
3) Another Aeneid fan here, too =)
4) I'll mourn for you on the weekends and envy you mid week from now on.

lol!
thanks for the tag. tomorrow I'm all over it.

Oooh I love Tale of Tales! I'm so glad to see they're still working on stuff.

I used to have their Endless Forest installed and running as a screensaver, but our connection couldn't handle the load.
